Getting started
Create your first film, from an idea or screenplay to an exported video.
A Sundream project holds your script, storyboard, reference images, generated media, and edit. You can start with a few sentences or bring a finished screenplay.
Start a film
- Click New Project in the studio sidebar.
- Choose Guided flow and describe your film or paste your script. Use AI chat if you'd rather develop the idea with the assistant.
- Review the script and the suggested cast, locations, and visual style. Make changes before you generate media.
- On the Board, generate reference images and scene frames, then turn the frames you like into video clips.
- Open the Editor to assemble the clips, adjust timing, add audio, and export an MP4.
To build a project yourself, choose Or start from scratch on an empty storyboard on the New Project page.
Find your way around
The five tabs at the top of a project open different parts of the same film.
| Tab | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Script | Write and revise scene action, dialogue, and direction. |
| Board | Arrange scenes, choose references, and generate frames and clips. |
| Media | Find generated files, import footage, and select media for the edit. |
| Elements | Manage characters, locations, props, and their reference images. |
| Editor | Trim and arrange clips, add audio, and export the film. |
Get help as you work
Click the bot icon in the top bar to open the assistant. Ask for a script change, help with a scene, or an explanation of a control. The Activity icon in its header shows model and tool calls for the conversation.
AI requests use credits. Check the estimate in the generation controls before starting a batch.
